La noche romántica en Espronceda, Rivas y Zorrilla

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This article is concerned with the theme of the Night in Spanish Romanticism, especially in the poetical works of José de Espronceda, the Duke of Rivas and José Zorrilla, by reviewing the different motifs, symbols and metaphors related to the Night in the poetry of these authors. This essay also analyses the different meanings of the Night in Romantic Spanish poetry, with conclusions about this subject based on the relationship between ideology and literature.

RESUMEN: El artículo se centra en el estudio del tema de la Noche en el Romanticismo español, concretamente en las poesías de José de Espronceda, el Duque de Rivas, y José Zorrilla, pasando revista a los distintos motivos, símbolos y metáforas, asociados a la Noche, presentes en los textos de estos autores. El artículo analiza también minuciosamente las múltiples implicaciones semánticas de la Noche en la poesía romántica española, con unas apreciaciones finales sobre el tema en cuestión, que remarcan la relación entre ideología y literatura.
